Do I even like programming?

An island of knowledge and power.
Clandestine lay in the river.
Only true passion, can take.
What it has to deliver.

So, I had this thought yesterday evening. I was thinking about programming and what project I should do in it to kinda solidify my skills or more precisely test what can I actually write. But then, like an epiphany, I realized that I don't really care that much about programming things or projects. Whenever for school I have to program something I think of it as a chore, which makes sense because people usually want to work on things that are not 'forced' upon them. Though, the thing is, I never have really actually worked on something related to programming on my own. At least up until now. Which was a funny realization.

Alas, what is the conclusion here? I think I will try to work on some project eventually, but the important thing is that I do find it super fun/engaging to learn about programming. Like I am stoked to learn more C++, since it is teaching me how modern lower-level systems get developed, or at least how does a language work in these systems.
